I'ma sorry

Hey y'all. Sorry for the lame content as of late. I've been uber busy and haven't had much crafting time! There has been lots of work on the motorcycles. Not like grease monkey work (only a little) but like learning to ride in the alley, and finding helmets and jackets. I'm excited because I found a great textile jacket for cheap (compared to the 350+ leathers) and a helmet too. Its just overall a very exciting thing for me.
Also, tons of work on my bicycle. I'm about 75% done building it up. I'm taking all these things slowly, day at a time.
Also, there has been more painting. Also, I got 2 really great pairs of shoes for the spring/summer which is something I NEVER do. Here is one pair, and here is the other. Wooo! Lastly, finally a finished project to show you!
Daisy sweater:

It looks much more fabulous than I thought it would. Thank god I ran out of yarn for the sleeves and had to use another color. I think that was its saving grace.

Back side! Its so cute and teeny.

Little cute buttons I found at Joanns. Thanks for the gift certificate mom! Its the gift that keeps giving, literally.
This was a fun project and I'm glad I decided on it. I used some of the yarn I dyed with koolaid from knitpicks, and some mystery yarn doubled up from a shop in dekalb.
I think for my next sweater, I'm going to try out the VK Tennis Sweater. Hope I can go through with this one...
Finally I leave you with dining room color:

It looks pretty cool next to the green color.

the system

Wow, for once the system actually works. I got a jury duty notice for friday, but had a dentist appointment scheduled for that day (wow) about 2 months ago. I sent in a doctor's note and they actually excused me. Can you believe that!? I mean, this IS Chicago...

photos!

Ok, firstly we will get down to business:

My bike! Its orange!

And here is mikes:

Then, we painted our living room. We are eventually painting the whole apartment, but SLOWLY. Here is a pretty good match of the color:

Then, last weekend, I got to hang out with my family. My moms cousin came in too, and I got to meet her! she was very nice!

Lastly, Ill make with the knitting progress. Sorry you guys, this one Ive been working really slowly on. And by that I mean I havent picked it up in a while. Although I am proud. Cuz I ran out of yarn for the body (have just enough for the collar) and was stuck on what to do for sleeves. I mean, serioulsly, how do you match that stuff. So I found some sock yarn I had that actually matched and just doubled it up to get gauge! Woohoo! The 2 skeins sitting in front of the finished body are the sleeve color. This was as accurate as I could get for color:

The view across the way from our snowy slope. The north facing slopes are dry and arid.

A look-out right off of route 24, just a lot of mountains. I think we were up at about 10,000 feet at this point. Those mountains up there go to about 14,000.
