We went biking today, and I slid on the dumbest rutted out area. Of course I slid for a few feet on my left side, so everything from my wrist to my ankle is scraped, bruised, and filled with rocks. Its fun not having dirt here...
Anyways, I have been bad about blogging, sorry. I have been working on a few things, so here ya go:
My old friend Natalie in Chicago is having a boy, so it gave me a chance to get rid of some stash yarn of fitting colors.

I fashioned a simple sweater out of some blue cottonease I had. I just had one skein left, and it used most all of it. I love cottonease for baby sweaters, I am noticing, because it is so soft! It seems like I am getting a little better at seaming every time.

I was going to do a ribbed collar, but I ended up really liking it just plain. Baby's heads are big anyways.
Then I had a little bit of blue cotton that I thought I could make into the one hour baby booties if I doubled it up. I had like one yard left over! Woo!

Lastly, I had a little bit of yarn left over from the Lacy Leaf sweater, so I made a tiny hat that the baby will probably only be able to use the day it comes out or something. Its really small.

Otherwise I've been working on toe up socks. That was going rather unsuccessfully, but I think a big problem was I was using really non-elastic scratchy yarn. When I go on to the Monkey socks or the Spiral socks from IK Knits, I will try to redo the pattern to make them toe up.
I was using a pattern from Ann Budd in IK Knits, and all was going well, but the foot was just coming out so long and it still was not fitting my foot! It looked a little ridiculous. Anyways, I measured and by the time I turned the heel and tried it on, it was still too small! I just ripped it out and decided to donate that yarn. Here is where I was.

So I think for now I am going to continue with the Lucky wrap, and keep working on Rozas socks. Those are coming along slowly!
